My Journey into Building Automation

My journey into building automation began in 2002 when I completed my electrical apprenticeship. During this time, I gained extensive experience in the industrial automation sector, primarily working with conveyors and robotic cranes. This hands-on experience ignited my passion for automation and control systems.

Early Career and Education

​

Upon completing my apprenticeship in 2002, I pursued further education by enrolling in a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) course. This course deepened my understanding of automation technologies and opened up new career opportunities. In 2004, I joined Siemens as a service technician, a role that significantly broadened my expertise.

Experience at Siemens

At Siemens, I immersed myself in learning advanced control strategies and gained a comprehensive understanding of HVAC operations, energy management, and sustainability. My role allowed me to work across both the service and project divisions, providing me with a well-rounded perspective on delivering and maintaining highly efficient buildings.

During my tenure at Siemens, I was involved in large-scale automation projects for commercial buildings, hospitals, universities, and data centers. These projects highlighted the complexities and challenges of working for a multinational corporation, giving me invaluable insights into both the benefits and drawbacks of such environments.

Founding Encoso Pty Ltd

In 2008, after gaining diversified industry experience, I decided to start my own venture—Encoso Pty Ltd. Since its inception, Encoso has maintained a strong focus on end-user satisfaction. We believe that achieving optimal building performance requires a deep understanding of the building's intricacies and a collaborative effort among all stakeholders.
